JIM BLANKENDAAL
Principle Dentist

Jim qualified from the Free University in Amsterdam in 1987 and has been principle of Colegrove Dental Care since 1989. He is a very enthusiastic person and enjoys his role as a practice principle working in Primary dental care. Jim has been a vocational trainer and is committed to post graduate dentistry. He now provides private general dental care including cosmetic dentistry. He is committed to continuing professional development and attends regular post graduate courses and seminars to keep up to date with current skills and changes in dentistry. Patient centred care is his priority and he aims for all patients to receive the best possible dental care at the practice.
Outside dentistry, he enjoys family life, watching football and as a true Dutchman cycling.
AVI NAGA
Dentist
MCGDent, PGCert MOS RCS (lond), M Imp Dent RCSed – GDC 104343
Dr Avi provides dental implants at the practice. He Qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2006 and is a member of the College of General Dentistry (MCGDent). He was awarded the Post Graduate Certificate in minor oral surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. Dr Avi is also a member in Implant Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh after obtaining his Diploma in Implant dentistry from the same college. Dr Avi has keen interest in oral surgery and has experience placing implants since 2017. In his spare time he plays football and enjoys skiing down mountains! Dr Avi also speaks fluent french
SHEHAN GUNASEKERA
Dentist

After gaining his qualificaion from King’s College London in 2005, Shehan began work at Colegrove Dental Care and has been an ever present member of staff at the practice.
He takes pride in caring for the local population of Peckham and the surrounding areas.
He believes in providing high quality preventative and functional dentistry with a particular focus on the continuity of patient care.
He attends various lectures and seminars throughout the year to keep up to date with continuing professional development.
His main interests outside of the clinical setting include art, travelling and keeping fit.
NICHOLAS GOSWAMI

Nicholas qualified from the Sahlgrenska Academy of the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) in 2005. After graduation he worked in Sweden for 4 years, during which he did a post graduate course in Oral Prosthetics and Orthodontics. After this he moved to London where he has been working as a general Dentist, seeing both private and NHS patients.
Aside from work, Nicholas is passionate about health and fitness. He enjoys going to the gym and has a keen interest in the science of nutrition.

Dedicated to promoting smiles and optimal oral health, Layla is an accomplished, and registered UK dental hygienist since 2009 with a proven track record in delivering compassionate care. With more than 10 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to excellence to every patient interaction.
Layla obtained her Dental assistance 2004, and a Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005, helping a wide range of patients to maintain their oral health by preventing and treating periodontal diseases under prescription from dentist or Direct access (self-refereed). Also, received an award from the department of higher Education of Andalucia Spain in Dental hygiene. In addition, she had been offering a scholarship to Germany 2005 for her outstanding academic performance.
She had additional training in facial aesthetic, also providing whitening treatment under the prescription from dentist, and Duties of scope of her practice.
Recently, obtained, L3 Diploma Leadership, and Management 2024 to enhance her ability to perform her professional Assignments, understand an communicate with Her team and Patients effectively.
Layla has worked in varying dental settings, alongside practice, she is currently working in hospital as Dental specialize hygienist treating Oncology Patients, and was honoured with an award for patients’ safety 2018 at Guys hospital.
Patient-cent rated approach is her priority, making each patient’s dental visit a positive and educational experience. Through a combination of expertise, empathy, and a passion for promoting oral health, she Take pride in creating a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. She takes the time to educate patients about the importance of oral health and collaborates with them to create personalized home care plans that promote long-term wellness.
Recognizing the importance of ongoing education, Layla actively pursues professional development opportunities. she attends conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay informed about the latest advancements in dental hygiene, always seeking to integrate new knowledge into her practice.
Other skills including being able to speak Arabic, Spanish, French and English.
Outside of Dentistry, she likes sport, travelling, socialising with good friends and studying.
